Ndumiso Sibanda began his directing career at the helm of a few of South Africa’s most loved tv shows before moving into the world of branded storytelling. Known for his humour and “under the carpet perspective”, Ndumiso shoots a range of styles with a focus on character and journey. Self described as "a director who shoots when no one’s looking”.
His work is driven by rich, real characters who are often yearning to be heard in documentary or cinema. Being both a photographer and a filmmaker, his direction captures a unique perspective giving the audience insight through camera language and shot selection. Looking at each project with its own eyes, he tells the story with the best craft for each script culminating in a unique journey each time. He has shot projects in over 50 countries worldwide, and continues to develop his craft with dojo etiquette.
